Power of Attorney for the UAE — Apostille & Embassy Legalization

The United Arab Emirates is not a member of the Hague Apostille Convention. An apostille alone will not be accepted by UAE authorities. Documents intended for use in the UAE require full embassy legalization, not just an apostille.

This is the single most important point: if your power of attorney is only apostilled, it will be rejected. It must travel through the complete authentication chain to the UAE Embassy in Washington, DC.
